This will make more sense if you’ve read Voltaire’s “Candide”, which is an utterly fantastic book. It’s been one of my favourite books since my fantastically mad english teacher gave me a copy many years earlier than she probably should have.

It wasn’t, but Penny Joy was a wonderful teacher also! I read Dante’s Inferno at Bundah as well, that school is actually a lot better than most people give it credit for. It had so many weird and wonderful teachers.
