Peace.

This is a series of adverts run by VW from a few years back. They’re so satisfying to watch as I come from a town which hosts the largest pimped-out auto show in the country. In addition, the fourth video is a ‘behind the scenes’ test video which is destructive enough to rival a Myth-Busters episode.

Given to me by a very lovely friend when she visited me last year. They remind me of all the lovely cameras I had to leave at home when I left Oz

I am very excited right now, finding this was like scratching an itch I’d had for years. I saw the below animation on SBS’s Eat Carpet program right when I started studying and it very much inspired me. I never forgot it but I was never able to find it again. Watching it now, it’s very different to what I remember but I think that is a good thing. Maybe one day I will make the animation which I do remember…

So this took me a little longer than it should have to post, but if you’re interested I’ve put photos of the exhibition over on my flickr account. Also, check out the exhibition website and Banksy’s website for videos and photos.
This was fantastic to see as it was the first work by Banksy which I’d seen on anything other than a computer screen. The animatronics were absolutely flawless, the swimming fish stick being a particular highlight (which wriggled and swam around its fishbowl). Often you need to look past the technical problems in works such as this to appreciate what the artist is trying to do, however that was certainly not the case here.
Also, in case you were wondering, nothing was for sale. Not even the shelves and shelves of plastic wrapped meat, chew toys and kitty litter, all of which caused the place to have an eerily authentic feel.

I took some photos from the Empire State building, see the rest at my flickr account.

Well, I’m back from San Fran, with plenty of new shiny things (and a busted up elbow, but more to come on that later). Check out these freakin awesome badges from the folks over at Loyal Army and extra thanks to Katey for making me the badges on the spot!

So I’m off again. No posts at least until the end of the week, though you can follow me on twitter if you were really so inclined (now that I have an iPhone I can’t help but twitter occasionally). Expect photos of San Fran soon!

I’ve posted some photos from my Montreal trip over at Flickr. It’s a weird mix since I was quite ill and didn’t get out to shoot much, but I was able to grab a few good shots. Enjoy!

A lot can happen in a couple of weeks, and I’ve got the photos to prove it. I’ll be posting a few select ones here but I’ll be uploading them all over at my new flickr account: Man Killed (thanks go to Owen for the name, I hope you don’t mind but I heard you weren’t using it anymore…).

I lost this badge yesterday. I think it was on the subway, but really it could have been anywhere. It was one of my favourites as it was larger than usual, about two or three inches wide, and it was made as a fundraising community art project for delinquent children and then sold at the ACMI gallery store in Melbourne. I just hope that someone finds it and enjoys it.

These were given to me by my very good friend George as part of a birthday present.
