Pure brilliance. The cast of “Not The Nine O’Clock News” discussing the huge controversy which surrounded Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” when it was released. “Not The Nine O’Clock News” owed a lot to Monty Python however it quickly established itself as a melting pot for a whole slew of up and coming comedic writers (whole careers would be launched from this show, Douglas Adams was an early writer and the series Blackadder was formed from one of the sketches).

Yes, this is apparently serious (although it is made by a comedy troupe). The producers make the following comment on the video’s Youtube page:
For those of you who think this video is racist, we’d like you to distinguish between “racist” and “racial”. Racism is “hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.” Racial is “of, relating to, or based on a race”

This is a series of adverts run by VW from a few years back. They’re so satisfying to watch as I come from a town which hosts the largest pimped-out auto show in the country. In addition, the fourth video is a ‘behind the scenes’ test video which is destructive enough to rival a Myth-Busters episode.

NSFW but totally worth it. I’ve previously linked to Brad Neely’s – “Washington” but somehow this escaped my notice until Joe linked me to it.
