This is a fantastic little documentary about the massive amounts of boxes filled with different things which Kubrick left behind when he died. Unfortunately there’s no mention of the filling card system he developed for his Napoleon research, however there are a few nuggets of insight into the very private man.

A method of painting is a natural growth out of a need … a painting has a life of it’s own, I try to let it live.

I’ve heard many people express reservations about Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film ‘The Wrestler.’ However he is one of the few directors who I’ve always been surprised and delighted by, so I eagerly await his latest. It will be debuting at the Venice Film Festival on September 5th.
