A beautiful trailer for the upcoming exhibition, the hi-Res version (and tickets) are available here. Produced by our very own: I will lead you to a life of crime

Dark City Trailer

September 12, 2008

The effects haven’t dated so well, however this is a brilliant film.

The Holy Mountain

June 7, 2008

Looks amazing, although the voice-over kind reminds me of this Penny Arcade strip.
Trailer is NSFW.

The trailer for the upcoming Hunter S Thompson documentary is out.

Tekkonkinkreet Trailer

June 3, 2008

This was released in the USA last year, but I haven’t managed to catch it yet…

War Inc. Trailer

May 21, 2008

I feel that John Cusack always plays the same role, but this looks like it’ll fit well with his style. Looks decent, can it be another Wag the Dog?

Chaos Theory

May 19, 2008

The trailer for Chaos Theory looks like a dumbed down movie version of George Cockcroft’s The Dice Man (which I read when I was 12 no less, yeah video games are the reason for the destruction of youth). Not that being a dumbed down movie version is a bad thing, Ryan Reynolds actually looks entertaining [...]

The Jammed

February 11, 2008

Best Aussie film of 2007.
I’m not one for end-of-year lists or statements (can you tell? It’s midway through February) but The Jammed is a movie that has stuck with me. It’s my favorite Australian film for 2007 in what was a big year for Aussie film. A compelling story on a situation that is unfortunately [...]

The Dark Knight

September 16, 2007

Have I mentioned how much I’m looking forward to this? When they first announced Heath Ledger as the Joker I was annoyed at their choice, but I’m coming around. I’m really looking forward to this!
(Plus Maggie Gyllenhaal has thankfully now replaced Katie Holmes)

Bulletproof Baby

September 2, 2007

As part of the advertising for Shoot Em Up, the site Bulletproof Baby has been launched. It includes a range of products that one can (not really) purchase, the best of which is the bulletproof stroller. If you trek over to the site you can watch it in action as they fire live rounds at [...]

Postal - Uwe Boll

Uwe Boll has a sense of humour? I guess he’d have to after things like BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead. Uwe Boll is one of the most hated directors alive but this is looking like something I might want to see, the trailers are fantastic!

Cheers to Frenchy for the heads [...]

No Country for Old Men

August 29, 2007

A change of gears for the Coen Brothers, it looks really good!

Down By Law

August 14, 2007

A short excerpt from a 1986 film Down By Law. A film directed by Jim Jarmusch, starring Roberto Benigni, Tom Waits and John Lurie.

And the trailer is quite well done also. Thankfully free of any huge plot revelations and most importantly doesn’t reveal an inevitable ending.

Halo Teaser Trailer

July 25, 2007

Now I’ve never been a big fan of the Halo franchise, other than multi-player can be a lot of fun with a few mates (heya Eli). But I am a big fan of teaser trailers and this is one of the better ones.

1-18-08 Teaser Trailer

July 10, 2007

I’m sick of knowing the ending before even the trailer has finished playing. This is how they all should be done.

Of course a great trailer doesn’t guarantee a good movie. Or even a passable movie. Take the Godzilla trailer as an example. Brilliant trailer, awful film.
