Prince – Creep

This is fantastic, especially after reading about how Prince invoked a copyright break so as to pull the videos from youtube, and Radiohead asked the fans to put it back (so they could watch it too).

It’s all brilliant, but from 2:45 onwards is gold. via.

I’ve just received my new computer, so I’ll be a bit busy over the next few days and probably won’t be posting much. I’m pulling all of my backed up data and re-organising everything. I’ll post a few links here and there but when I get back, expect some art.
Another set of badges found in the best shop ever in London. Which I will write about soon.
I haven’t managed to bring myself to open these yet.

Oh man. I’ve never been this excited about cooking before. Check out Supercook for web 2.0 awesomeness, you enter in whatever crap food you have in your cupboard and it will give you the recipes for everything edible you can make with it.
Although until I fill my cupboard with more than Oreos and dry pasta I think I’m still eating out for the foreseeable future…

A fantastic interview (if somewhat short).
Further to that is a great live sketch of Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese in 1981.
I’m a big fan of recycled fabric badges and this is a great one. This one was bought from one of the many markets in London which I went to.

Because everyone needs one, I’ve never had one, and so I bought one from a punk in Camden.

Metric – Monster Hospital. I fought the war but the war won.
After the failure to prevent the war in Iraq by the largest amount of protesters in history, my frustrated acceptance that this brutal reality is actually happening has set in.
Will we bother to protest next time around?
Tom Waits puts out a press release where he interviews himself. A great read.
He mentions Terry Gilliam’s film The Adventures of Baron Munchausen which is a film I had forgotten about but adored as a kid.
Lauren Fleishman has some varied and beautiful photos of American life. I found the Camp Shane story and series to be particularly interesting and her xman series sums up elegantly what the frustrating calm and chaos is like for a disabled boy and his doting parents. Her photos appear very matter of fact but I find I’m often surprised at how weighted with emotion they are.
